Review: How to Answer the Fool

In this post I would like to review the new video released by American Vision called "How to Answer the Fool." Hopefully, you have read my post called "A Probable God or a Certain God" on presuppositional apologetics, if not you can read it here. Presuppositional apologetics is a form of Christian apologetics that goes beyond evidences, or I should say, beneath evidences. The approach examines the worldview and how it can account for the very foundation needed to examine the evidences. Things necessary such as laws of logic, laws of science, laws of mathematics, and absolute morality. In a nutshell, only the Christian worldview can account for all these preconditions of intelligibility. Presuppositional apologists Cornelius Van Til, and Dr Greg Bahnsen really brought this form of apologetics into the light, but after the passing of Dr Bahnsen it did not get much attention. That is until Mr Sye Ten Bruggencate of ProofthatGodexists.org. 

In this extremely well produced video by Crown Rights Media, Sye teaches you this powerful apologetic. How to Answer the Fool should be in every bible believing Christians toolbox. This review is for the immediate download version, since I could not wait until my pre-ordered DVD arrives. It is my understanding that the DVD version will have special features and of course the physical study guide.  

How to Answer the Fool has 6 powerful cinematic messages where Sye takes you through step by step how to properly, and most importantly biblically to give a reasoned defense of the Christian faith. Throughout the video you get to see this apologetic in action out on the streets with professing atheists, agnostics, and skeptics. At first you may feel that the presuppositional approach is too complex, but Sye quickly shows you just how simple this defense of the Christian worldview is. Not only simple, but biblical, irrefutable, and Christ honoring. The production quality and the cinematography by Crown Rights Media is first class and does a superb job of keeping you engaged and tying everything together. To actually see an apologetic in action out on the streets, not just taught is worth its weight in gold. This DVD with the included study guide would be great as a small group study or as a individual study. In the future I hope to see more great videos like this from Crown Rights and Sye Ten Bruggencate. I know the presuppositional approach can be used to defend the Christian worldview from other worldviews other than unbelievers, such as Christian counterfeits like Mormonism, Islam, and Jehovah Witnesses, so I hope to see in the future How to Answer the Fool 2 that will address these worldviews as well.
